The round up of last weeks additive manufacturing news includes development of 3D-printed bunkers for Indian Army by Military Engineering Services and start-ups; Imaginarium join hands with Formlabs to became its value-added disturbutor for Indian subcontinent; Intech Additive Solutions collabrates with UIT-Dresden to develop new materials for metal AM using its software AMOptoMet; launch of new additive manufacturing simulation software by Markforged and much more.
Creating waves in the world of Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing is the 6th?edition of the AMTECH Expo 2022, India’s only dedicated additive manufacturing tradeshow to be held at the Hitex Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad, India, from December 2nd?to 3rd, 2022.
The Military Engineering Services (MES) and start-ups, including those from IIT-Gandhinagar and IIT-Madras, have developed 3D printed structures for Indian Army of varying sizes and functionalities. The defense establishment has also underwent successful experiments to evaluate its durability against a T-90 firing from 100 meters.
Formlabs and Imaginarium join hands to expand the adoption of additive manufacturing in the greater Indian subcontinent as Imaginarium becames value-added distributor of Formlabs for Greater Indian Subcontinent region.
Intech Additive Solutions has collaborated with Umwelt- und Ingenieurtechnik GmbH Dresden (UIT-Dresden), a subsidiary of General Atomics Europe / General Atomics (USA), to develop and optimize new materials for Metal 3D Printing using AMOptoMet Ultimate version 2.0 – Intech’s flagship Parameter Optimization Software for Metal LPBF Systems.
