Aidro has become a qualified supplier of aluminum flight parts for Leonardo through its helicopters division. Aidro is one of only two suppliers to receive the Declaration for Qualification of Process for Additive Layer Manufacturing with Leonardo.
Ursa Major, America’s only privately funded company that focuses solely on rocket propulsion, just introduced the latest in its line of engines. The Arroway rocket engine is a 200,000-pound thrust liquid oxygen and methane staged combustion engine that will serve markets including current U.S. national security missions, commercial satellite launches, orbital space stations, and future missions not yet conceived.

An American biotech company has just announced that they have successfully transplanted a 3D printed human ear into a patient, initially reported by The New York Times. The company, Queens-based 3DBio Therapeutics, printed the ear using the patient’s own cells.
The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) is on track to become the region’s largest and most advanced 3D printing technology platform, with major international companies and specialized startups establishing their presence there.

The U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) has awarded a project led by experts at UD’s College of Engineering $2.5 million to see if it’s possible to make those composites competitive with today’s automotive materials options. The project is one of 68 research and development efforts funded by $175 million from ARPA-E to develop “disruptive technologies to strengthen the nation’s advanced energy enterprise.”
Stratasys announced that it has been named a NASCAR Competition Partner and has teamed with NASCAR to produce the first-ever 3D printed production parts to be featured across all NASCAR Next Gen cars.
Covestro is extending its collaboration with printer manufacturer Stratasys by adding new validated filaments to the materials ecosystem for fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology, starting with the Addigy PA6/66-GF20 FR LS filament based on glass fiber–reinforced polyamide.
REGEMAT3D, based in Granada, Spain has completed its second round of equity crowdfunding. Thanks to the participation of more than 500 investors, a total of €515,402 has been raised, which will be used to continue the development of the tissue and organ bioprinting technologies that the company has been marketing since 2015.
Mimaki USA announces the release of the Pure Clear ink MH-110PCL. Intended for use with the Mimaki 3DUJ-553 full color 3D printer, the new Pure Clear ink MH-110PCL will be available beginning May 2022.
