2022 Spinach Wrap

It’s been an amazing year for us at Spinach AI , full of growth, learnings and fun!

As we head into the holidays I wanted to take a step back, reflect and share some highlights from 2022:

1. Grew the team from 6 to 8 full-timers - Derek Tam joined us as Product Designer and Emily Fenech as VP of Marketing. Darius Contractor joined us as Growth Advisor. We built, learned and grew together as a team.
2. Got our full team together in person four times in Miami, Chattanooga and Nashville. Got parts of our team together in person a bunch more in San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, Chattanooga and Nashville.
3. Raised seed funding from Y Combinator , Maven , Atlassian Ventures and angels with participation from our pre-seed investors Zoom Ventures , Cardumen Capital , Tuesday Capital and angels.
4. Went through Y Combinator , presented in demo day, learned a ton and made lots of new friends.
5. Came out of private beta and launched publicly, got featured on Tech Crunch, made the top post on Hacker News and #1 product of the day on Product Hunt.
6. Launched Spinach.io for Google Meet on and made #1 product of the day on Product Hunt
7. Talked to hundreds of users and received invaluable feedback and ideas. Built and launched countless features and product enhancements based on that feedback.
8. Grew companies using Spinach and weekly active users 13x, grew engagement 5x.
9. Converted our first paying customers and went from 0 paying customers to double digits.
10. Powered thousands of daily standups, saving teams hours every week and improving team velocity and output.
