2022 Schmid Foundation Golf Tournament

It was a beautiful morning on October 21st, filled with golf, food, prizes, awards, and even some wildlife. The 9th annual Schmid Foundation Golf Tournament was able to raise over $60,000 to help support local non-profits in the West Orange County and South Lake County communities. None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors, players, and volunteers.

The Schmid Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) and was founded in 2012 as a way to contribute resources, including time, money, and intellect, to educational organizations, both public and private, to further their causes. It is our belief that in order for the future generation to be capable and prepared, they must have the very best that we can offer—including technology, and a solid understanding of English and upper level math.

To kick off the season of giving, the Schmid Foundation donated $5,000 to the non-profit Eight Waves. In West Orange County, Eight Waves is dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families that are under-resourced. The Schmid Foundation supports the non-profit through hygiene and food drives throughout the year.

Schmid Construction closed the office for the day to allow their employees to volunteer and/or participate in the tournament.

There were over 100 golfers enjoying the beautiful fall weather and supporting charities.
