On Thursday, June 30th , 2022 I asked the question "Can I find some?#future?STEM Career Innovators in this room today?"
Myself and several of my colleagues from?IEEE,?NSBE Process Improvement SIG, and other Electrical Industry panelist participated in a STEM?#career?Panel Discussion. We were at Rice?University?for the TryEngineering TESI program STEM Career Panel Discussion.
This session had a little less than 40 students 9th - 12th grade?#students?from around the world participating in the program with about 50% from outside of Texas. I'm sure the other 50% from outside of Texas and 1 international student. Thanks to Zacks BBQ for supplying all the fixing and Apple cobbler with ice cream.
The TESI program give the opportunity to show how engineering can make a difference in the way our world can work better together. Students are able to get a taste of engineering before college, alongside their peers from other schools from around the world. It is also a great chance for educators to learn how to tailor their lesson plans to increase their student’s interest in engineering and technology careers.
