2022 Freshers Volume Spark A New Hope For Gen Z

According to a NASSCOM survey released on Friday, the Indian IT sector hired almost 380,000 freshmen in FY22, and more than 70% of Gen Z students are eager to work in the field in the near future.

The results show that strong new hire hiring over the past few years in the software industry has increased the proportion of Gen Z to 18–20% and the proportion of millennials to 68–70% of the total employment base in FY22.

According to a survey conducted by NASSCOM and Indeed, 79% of Gen-Z-ers are actually willing to stay in their first role for more than two years if their employers offer them the correct value proposition.

India had a larger percentage of millennials and Gen Z as of 2021, at 52% than the global average of 47%.

This trend is anticipated to continue until 2030 when India's share of Gen Z and Millennials would be 50%, greater than the global average of 46%.

While brand value tops the list for both millennials and Generation Z, the Gen Z population also considers culture, ethics, learning, and growth when choosing a company.

With 85% of Generation Z indicating a preference for either fully working from the office or in a hybrid model, they are more inclined to be in the workplace
