2022 will be an exceptional year!

For decades Americans have had a tradition of making a New Year’s resolution or two, most fail within a few months.?Today is the first day of 2022. On this first day, I am starting an annual tradition of picking a word that will remind me of my hopes, dreams, and goals.

My word for 2022 is "EXCEPTIONAL."?Oxford defines the word as “unusually good; outstanding.” I can’t think of an adjective that better describes who I want to be and the impact I want to make.?The word “exceptional” by nature forces you to hold your goals and aspirations to a higher standard. In fact, the word makes you want to achieve bigger goals.

My life circumstances dictate that I settle for more out of life.?Napoleon Hill once said, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” I’m determined to make 2022 my best year yet. ?When one makes the intentional decision to leave their comfort zone there is a period of insecurity, doubt, and fear before one gets acclimated to being “comfortable being uncomfortable” and learning new skills that will broaden one’s horizons. If there is one lesson this pandemic has taught me, it’s to live a life of intentionality and purpose.

The word “exceptional” will be a beacon of light for me during the challenging times ahead that will lead me to becoming a better version of myself.?An exceptional man makes his well-being – i.e., mental, physical, and spiritual well-being - a priority. He lives a life of financial abundance and seeks out opportunity and success.? The time has come for me to step into my destiny in an exceptional way.
