2022 EOS Year in Review

Howdy and Welcome to 2023!

I'm excited to share what we've been up to in the EOS World and specifically the Shane Spillers EOS World. I hope your New Year has started off strong and that you've gotten into 2023 goals with full acceleration after some much-needed holiday time off.

The long and short of it is, this is a TIME TO CELEBRATE! Yes I know, the holidays are over and you'd think the celebrations have concluded.

But...you'd be wrong. We're 12 days into the first month of a new year and ALL of my Annual Planning Sessions are complete.

My clients are buttoned up for 2023, forecasts are done, budgets ironed out, objectives established and they know Q1 priorities. They have jumped out of the gate and have hit the ground running.

The Next 90 Days

It's also a time to execute for the next 90 days. I heard over and over again in a recent annual planning session RPRS: Right Person Right Seat. People seemed to be at the forefront of our session. Closely following was process - aligning in core processes through identification and documentation.

Last month I polled the audience. "What is your most common business frustration?" Let's get to the results of the poll, because it's a bit different than what the session mentioned above. You'll find this with each business as everyone is facing a different set of challenges.

What's Your Most Common Business Frustration?

Half of those polled responded that Profit (not enough) is their most common frustration. Split for 2nd place are People and Nothing is Working.

Tell me, are you surprised by these results? Chances are you're nodding your head in agreement. I posed this question for a number of reasons; 1) to get a pulse on what my LinkedIn community is experiencing and 2) to understand how I can curate content to serve my LinkedIn community.

Now, it's a time to focus on the first 90 days, the first quarter. To move forward, you need to first reflect back. Capturing big and unexpected wins will gear up your team to look forward. Take a look at we focus on in Annual Planning Sessions.

Where do you want your business to be in 10 years?

Setting long-term goals act as motivators for your team and act as a light to refer back to when times are tough. Regularly review long-term goals with your team so they stay top of mind and continue to inspire.

Take your long-term goals and break them out into short-term goals. Continue to do so that your goals have a timeline of the first 90 days with an end date established for Q1.

Further breaking the short-term goals, likely 'rocks,' into smaller action items called 'milestones' or 'rock plans' puts an actionable plan in place that points to the 10-year plan.

Okay, I've kept you long enough. For now, let's celebrate all we've accomplished in 2022 and be inspired by all to come in 2023. This is your year for growth. Let's get after it! *If you have 60 more seconds, I invite you to share your biggest win(s) from 2022 below!*
