2021 TIPA WORLD AWARD WINNERS
Recently the 2021 TIPA World Award Winners were announced.
TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) WORLD AWARDS both recognise and honour industry companies and their products and serve as an important benchmark and guide for consumers in making their purchasing decisions.
Zoner Photo Studio X was named the “Best imaging software Expert”. I have been working with the team at Zoner Photo Studio X, trialling the software to see what my impressions are when using it for different types of photography assignment.
To take full advantage of the enhancement of digital camera files, especially Raw format files, a full-fledged photo editing and processing toolkit is required. Zoner Photo Studio X offers a range of workflow, corrections, layer processing and effects in an affordable and easy to use format.
One of the most demanding subjects for my photography has been assignments for DRAX BIOMASS. I photographed with vismedia Agency for Drax Group to show they are working with sustainably sourced forest biomass at the heart of their purpose: Enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.
I was asked to create an image library of photography ranging from reportage style pictures documenting their work, to portraits of their people. The photography in the U.S. covered the “responsible management of forests”, the production and final transportation. I was working with everything from available light to portable flash kits, studio lighting and in dark spaces where it was not permitted to use external lighting meaning ISO settings well in excess of 10K.
Zoner Photo Studio X provided me with the processing capabilities of delivering the pictures required.
