2021 Looking Back

I have a habit of writing my personal review at the end of the year. As this year will end in a few days, I want to make some recapitulation about this year from my personal angle – only how this year was for me.

If I look at the world, it was definitely one of years you would like to oversleep… Covid situation and all crisis related with it… I’m really sorry for all people who lost their lives, and their loved ones who suffer. I hope we are now smart enough to take this situation in control.

I finally learned to live and work in a different way, adapting to the ‘new normal’, found my rhythm… working remotely from home and even enjoyed some aspects of this new way. I didn’t travel this year (except going to my village on a fresh air), actually I didn’t travel almost full 2 years… But every time there are some good things… even in these years you can succeed with some achievements and celebrate some good things if happened. And from my personal point of view, this year was one of the best. Why I’m saying that. This year I’ll be very short… this year in September I became a grandfather, and I cannot explain how good it is. It is similar only with the moment when I became a father 28 years ago, but now my son is experiencing the same feeling… priceless!

What else happened? I managed to ride my first 100+ km on a bike. I completed 5 full years in Microsoft and even got the first award there. I succeeded to provide a few good sessions on some events, but still online. Now, on the end of this year, I have two more things making me happy, but unfortunately, I still cannot share them publicly. I think I’ll share one of them soon, but another one will probably take a bit longer.

I’ll have some great new internal goals for 2022. And finally, what is the most important, keep safe and be happy. I think this was the shortest year review I ever wrote ??.
