A 2020 Thanksgiving Note...
Brian DiMarco
"An ex-advertising professional, classically trained chef, and sommelier has pivoted to crafting exceptional whiskey at Harlem Standard. Don't miss out on experiencing the passion and expertise in every bottle.”
We've been whining for most of 2020. And, to our credit, there's been a great deal to gripe over. But it's finally Thanksgiving. Whether you believe in the holiday, are adamantly against it, visiting family, or celebrating alone, it can't hurt to dedicate one day to gratefulness.
I was considering writing an article about Thanksgiving this year and the inevitable 2020 baggage that would be glazing all of our turkeys. But, pardon my French, fffffffff it.
Without getting preachy and annoying, I wanted to share some things that I am grateful for this year and perhaps inspire some much-needed positivity.
- Canned cranberry with the ridges
- Amazon Prime
- Goldbelly Gourmet Pies
- This Drew Estate Liga Privada T52 Flying Pig cigar
- Avoiding the obligatory drunk Wednesday night that usually precedes Thursday
- Bingeable TV shows
- Wine
- Stand up specials
- The Peloton
- And, of course, family
Wishing everyone a wonderful celebration. Cheers to some well-deserved food. I hope that the only bellyaching you'll be taking part in will be strictly due to overeating.
