2020 Tempting Ventures Wrap Up

It feels strange writing about our businesses' performance at a time when so many have more important things to worry about like the physical and mental health impact of Covid, financial security, absence from family and friends to name but a few. It's been a turbulent year, but at least we enter 2021 with a vaccination, a sense of hope that things will get better and we can influence the timetable. It's hard to still be exclusively working from home, but as a friend wrote the other day 'We have work, we have a home and perhaps remembering that makes it a little easier'.

However, it is my role to promote Tempting Ventures and our Portfolio businesses, and I'd be short-changing the fantastic people in our Portfolio if I didn't recognise their achievements in 2020. Also, I want to!

The Tempting Ventures Portfolio businesses maintained our 2019 NFI in 2020 and grew EBITDA by 20%. Frankly, in Q2 of last year, I would have thought that improbable at best, so I'd like to say thanks for the tireless commitment of the businesses Management Teams - Adam Wagster, Emrah Baykal, Joe Carbone, Jack Saxton, Lisa Holmes, Matt Rowe, Sam Liggins, Ryan Healy and Hannah Robb. I also want to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing people in each of our brands for their dedication and work ethic. I'm very proud that whilst we are still in lockdown, we've maintained headcount and don't have a single person on furlough.

We are now starting our next round of investments!
