2020 February Do's and Don't

2020 February Do's and Don't

Welcome back. Here are somethings I learned during the month with a leap day. Some recruiters are lazy. If this offends you, then you are that person and I hope you can learn off of this.

As you can see, these are all templates. If you find my resume and can't greet me by my first name...lackadaisical. I would also recommend putting the pay rate and if the job will be full-time or contract with the template. This will probably save 3-4 back and forth emails and your inbox space.

I also attended a career fair to see if I can reach out to candidates looking for a job. This also can be misleading. Through their websites, they might advertise 60-100 employers. Then when you attend, there will be 20 tops. If you do go, I suggest finding a career fair that is specific to your job market.

Now the fun stuff. First week of this month, another Genzyme alumni came to visit. Eric (Delta Project Management) flew in and the original plan was to go skiing. Mother nature decided to smack us with 1-3 foot of snow. So what do you do? You have to adapt and overcome. We visited Balistreri Vineyards. As a backup plan, this was the perfect plan. Word of caution, the tasting might be free, but you somehow spend money. At the end of his trip, we both signed up for their wine club.

Next week, some more friends came to visit. We went to Winter Park Resort.

This month also had an ISPE event. It was nice to meet other vendors within the Colorado area.

IMA, thank you for the bag. Glad to see you as vendor and treating me like family.

This bottle was misleading. You would never expect to find jelly beans here.

Finally last week of February, Greg from Integrated Project Management came to visit. We wrapped this month up with Steamboat Ski Resort.

In conclusion, this month was very busy for social activities. Even though our friends might work for a different company, we still can learn off of each other. This is one of the reasons why I joined Enhanced Information Solution. Want to work remote and willing to travel, then shred on the weekends? Send me your resume. Thank you for reading.
