2019 has certainly been a great year for us delivering cinematic 3d virtual reality films here at Multiply HQ. Immersive entertainment allows brands to deliver unique experiences, quite unlike any other medium.
Our first cinematic VR project of 2019 was a historic look at Campbeltown whisky production centred around the Glen Scotia Distillery. From the stunning surrounding hills right to the heart of the distillery, the VR experience immersed viewers in the location and the brand. Primarily used in the far east to allow consumers and trade representatives to virtually visit Campbeltown.
Next we found ourselves filming a short tour of the Ochil Hills following Blair O’Connor, Highland Spring’s very own ‘Guardian of the Source’, as he undertook his daily duties. The VR film was used as part of a touring promotional experience raising awareness for the product’s focus on their 100% recycled plastic bottle.
Staying on the water Multiply next created the Seafood Scotland VR film, featuring yet more stunning Scottish vistas around Argyl & Bute from both land and water, as well as some delicious seafood. Aimed at promoting Scotland’s fine seafood we worked with local producers to take viewers on a trip from being onboard a small fishing boat through to a fine dining experience.
Our final VR film of the year for The Real Mary Kings Close, was a different type of production, presenting a more narrative driven film with a small cast recreating the horrors of the 1600’s plague epidemic in Edinburgh. Once created the VR film was then used as the basis for a Plague Doctor prank video filmed on The Royal Mile just before Halloween 2019.

4 年Very impressive indeed - would be curious to hear your thoughts about scripting for VR films as opposed to traditional scripts :)
