Social media when done right can create many avenues of success in many different ways. You may find new clients, build stronger brand recognition, be able to raise your prices, create other streams of income, sell more product and save time just to name a few. Each social media platform has its very own set of rules and insider secrets that will help you stand out from the crowd. Use this guide for creating content and you’ll be well on your way to success but remember, just because you create the content doesn’t mean people are seeing it. You must share it and the best way to do that is through targeted ads. There’s a ton of information available with a quick youtube search on the topic but familiarize yourself and set a budget of at least $10 per video ($300 per month).
Facebook - Share to your business page. Hashtags aren’t important. Copy is getting more and more valuable, tag your business location, use a great thumbnail, use FB auto closed captioning system and make corrections, share to as many places as possible and use paid ads
Youtube - If you’re first starting out on YT you will be limited to videos under 15 minutes unless you get it enabled. (Easy process) Content is king on youtube and posting good consistent content will help you grow. There are services such as YTpals.com and SubPals.com that offer paid programs to gain 15-60 subs per day, most stick around depending on your subject matter and you’ll gain views as well. What you write in your description matters, especially the first few lines because that’s what most people see on their screen. Make sure to caption your videos, use good thumbnails, select the right category, put in the date of production and use good keywords. There is a tool called TubeBuddy.com and they have a great plugin that will help with your keywords.
Instagram - IG stories are key. Take the topic of the day for one of your videos and create short 15 sec snippets and promote a link to the full video. IG posts can only be 60 seconds. Highly recommend taking the best 60 seconds from a created video and putting it into an IG video template. (Google it!) Also take still pictures and add quotes from your content that hit your message and post them. The Canva App is good for this. Use good copy, Hashtags are important, be sure to tag a few people or businesses that have similar brand messaging or could use your message. Use paid ads and be sure to reply to all comments.
LinkedIn - Copy is important on LinkedIn and some brands choose to censor their videos in order to not turn off potential viewers/clients. Hashtags are very important. If your business has a LinkedIn page, share the video to the page then share to your personal one. Your best related content to your business should be promoted with paid ads.
Twitter - Is used mainly for conversation. Share one video per day but then share random questions multiple times per day pertaining to the video you shared. Use good hashtags
Write a a list with 30 industry relevant topics then create content based on each of those topics. I recommend taking a few days and creating 4-6 videos ahead of time. Don’t post the same video to each platform on the same day, instead post a different one to each and use a checklist to mark off where each video was posted. This will make it easy to track. Remember you will have to choose a 60 second portion for IG, censorship may be needed for LinkedIn and you should share the Youtube video link on Twitter. Happy creating and good luck!
