2019: the beginning. 2020: the acceleration.

Humanity is awakening. If you are not able to see this, you are not yet a part of the transformation. A transformation that will profoundly alter who we think we are and why we are here on Earth. It will not be long before a large part of humanity remembers its Origin. That’s why, over the next few years, we have the potential to manifest a reality in which we are more connected with ourselves and each other. A truly joyful reality in which we live in harmony with nature and in which people start living from the inside out.

Many individuals, projects and organizations are acting as catalysts for humanity’s awakening, like my initiatives Awake Origins and the World Consciousness Forum. With the end of the year approaching, I find it is important to look back on the acceleration we have made towards this awakening and discuss the promising outlook that 2020 holds for us.

The broadcast image of the world today is one fed with fear and navigated from distrust. But simultaneously, a collective is rising in consciousness. More individuals and communities are waking up and taking a stand for more purpose-driven businesses, projects and organizations.

Unfortunately, that information is hardly distributed in the mass media. Why not? Because good news doesn’t strike as hard as bad news. However, humanity needs the positive notion more than ever. A shift from fear to love, lack to abundance, lies to truth, separation to unity.

My awakening started 5 years ago. Since then, my view on my own life and life on earth changed enormously. Ever since I was able to go beyond the ‘superficial layer’ of our reality, I have been enjoying a magical journey. The further I travel, the more profound my experience becomes. Many people throughout our history have gone through the very same process, and many are going through it now. It is accelerating on a grand scale. 

Early in my own process, I found a deep understanding that I have a role to play in this waking up of humanity. So while I am on my own journey (it’s never ending) I am facilitating this journey in all my entrepreneurial activities.

Today, I have founded three major pillars of influence:

1. Origins: an international movement of purpose-driven and awake leaders, entrepreneurs and creators who are accelerating their personal growth and impact together (find more information here).

2. The World Consciousness Forum: an annual forum that empowers the aware change makers in this world. The forum connects the world’s front running conscious business leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, politicians, thought leaders, spiritual leaders and everyone else who wants to be a part of this. 3. Resonance: an electronic music festival in August in the form of a huge retreat. This event is a 4-day gathering all about connection with yourself, others, music and nature; a celebration of life. 

Regarding each of these three pillars, I would like to share with you what we have been doing in 2019 to develop them, and where they will take us in 2020.

1. FIRST PILLAR: ORIGINS

Fast Growth. In the last 12 months, Origins grew from 0 to over 100 members within 9 different Circles. These members are leaders and entrepreneurs that want to go “next level” as an inside-out creator. It's amazing to witness how the Circles of entrepreneurs, leaders and creators grow together, mirror and help each other. I have learned that the longer a group is on the journey, the deeper it all becomes. While facilitating the Circles I get to grow and expand along with all my participants and I feel immensely grateful for getting to be a part of that journey.

The first Circles have completed the final sessions of their year-long journey with Awake Origins. What makes me feel the most fulfilled is that most members want to keep on traveling and working in conjunction with the Origins’ movement as we move into 2020. The whole team and I are grateful for being chosen to facilitate such a powerful and impactful journey for those members. 

The next step for Origins is to facilitate co-creation among the members. The miracle of our movement is that it is making the space for community-building and networking, in addition to purposeful growth and awakening. Origins has leaders from many different sectors and we are aiming to create a close family-like network of awake individuals who can accelerate together.

International expansion. Awake Origins is increasing its impact through an increasing global presence. In the long run, we will be present in more than 50 cities across the world. We are currently launching new Circles in The Netherlands (Dutch- and English-speaking Circles), Berlin, Madrid and San Francisco. For the further expansion of Origins in 2020, we are looking for high quality facilitators in major cities all across the world who have a knowledge of leadership, business and the awakening process. Message me if you if your are interested and want to know more.

New Office. In 2019, Origins was located in the ADAM tower in Amsterdam. In 2020, we will remain present in the ADAM tower but will move our retreat location and head office to Doorn. It’s hard to underestimate the power of being in nature, and for this reason our Circle sessions will now take place in the forest of Landgoed Beukenrode.

Team. In 2019, the amazing and intrinsically driven Origins team has grown together with the movement. We now have 5 different nationalities in the core team (the Netherlands, U.S., Russia, Hungary and Brazil) which is in-line with the future international growth of our company.

Simon Sinek & 8-Hour Purpose Track. This past November, Simon Sinek came to The Netherlands. Awake Origins partnered with DenkProducties and I developed a second day program in which I facilitated a deeper dive into the concept of “Purpose.” We got such positive feedback on this second day that we decided to make a separate experience out of it: the 8-our Purpose Track. A transformative exploration of the 4 P’s: Personality, Presence, Purpose and Promise.

True purpose is generally not something you will find in 8 hours, but this day will equip you with the tools you need to accelerate the process. Retreat at Mandali. This month, the first Origin Alignment retreat took place at Mandali. Overlooking the beautiful Lago d’Orta in Northern Italy, we sank into the ‘Now’ with a group of 12 leaders and entrepreneurs. It was special to witness how silence and the accompanying program are able to give clarity on personal and professional matters. While at the same time, a natural and profound happiness rose to the surface. I massively enjoyed guiding the process and am already looking forward to the next edition at Mandali. Interviews YouTube channel. Over the last year, I have been interviewing people who I think have an inspiring story to share. You can watch these interviews on my YouTube channel (click here). The most recent published interviews are with Mattijs ten Brink (CEO Transavia Airlines and now Sunweb), Rasmus Hougaard (CEO Potential Project) and Mantak Chia (Taoist Master). More interviews will be published with amongst other DJ Isis and leadership expert Rolf Winters in the coming month.

Purpose Accelerator. Last but not least: based on all the experiences with the Circles in 2019, we created the Purpose Accelerator. It consists of an online journey in combination with weekly Q&A’s with myself. With the Purpose Accelerator, our content is also accessible for individuals who have a smaller budget or prefer to join the movement right from their homes. 2. SECOND PILLAR: WORLD CONSCIOUSNESS FORUM

I founded the World Consciousness Forum (WCF) in 2019. It has been amazing to experience the excitement about the WCF from people all over the world. WCF will act as an annual forum that empowers the aware change makers of our world. The forum connects the world’s front running conscious business leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, politicians, thought leaders,spiritual leaders and more.

WCF is a highly interactive two-day event. It is about being inspired AND about contributing to answers concerning the way we lead ourselves, organisations and the world. Particpants can join at the main event in Amsterdam, at satellite events throughout the world or online (for free).

Goals of the annual World Consciousness Forum:

1. Inspire leaders, entrepreneurs and creators on HOW to become a more conscious leader and lead to the creation of more conscious organizations around the world. The speaker line up is already very powerful and will become even more so.
2. Create the first global platform that helps make conscious initiatives from all over the world more visible and accelerates their impact by connecting conscious entrepreneurs, investors, projects and investors
3. Create a roadmap for humanity to live and create in alignment with its true purpose. 

The first edition of the WCF will take place on May 28 and 29, 2020. The main event will take place in Amsterdam (Eye, ADAM tower, Tolhuistuin) while, at the same time, satellite events will happen simultaneously, all across the world.

3.THIRD PILLAR: RESONANCE MUSIC RETREAT / FESTIVAL

For years, I have been organizing club nights with my favorite DJs from across the globe. In 2019, we organized an Origins LIVE event during the Amsterdam Dance Event. With a line up of international DJs, we dove into their motives for creating music, experienced a meditative performance and ended up with an almost transcendent dance party experience. The day after that event, I realized it was time for the next step. In the last few years I have had a hard time finding music festivals at which I truly felt at home. On one side of the spectrum, there are many ‘superficial’ festivals. On the other side, there are festivals that I find too psychedelic and vague. There is nothing wrong with all of those but now it’s time to create something that suits the moment we are in. One that I’d actually like to go to myself. I am thrilled about what is coming. IN CONCLUSION

It feels like myself and the people I work with are still at the beginning of our endeavours. However, I am grateful for everything that has already unfolded in 2019.

I am enormously grateful to all our members, and co-creators who are helping to build this conscious movement together. I am excited about what 2020 will bring. With these three initiatives, along with many other conscious change makers in the world, we can contribute to a change and an awakening that I know is needed and I know will happen.

Our world population consists of more than 7.5 billion people. Change starts on the individual level. Therefore, it’s about waking up individuals who take responsibility for themselves and start living from the inside out. The journey in consciousness is ever expanding.

My personal priorities in 2020? Deepening my connection to myself, staying centered, being in the being more so that IT can go through me. I’ve learned it’s the only way to truly surf my undercurrent of Purpose. THE undercurrent of Purpose.

Exciting waves are coming.
