2019-2022: Founder's Letter For YOU on The 3-yr Peculiar Journey

Dear Friends of Ginny's Planet,?

We are turning 3 on 28 June!?As we complete 3 years of our journey, we have BIG plans and HUGE hopes.?As we navigate through this new phase, we know that it will be challenging. But, we know that we will continue to move forward as we have learnt from what we have experienced so far! You will soon see us sharing learning from?Educators' Kit on Diversity?- our latest offering for schools, changemakers, and parents.

With hope, faith, and a zeal to bring empathy, respect for diversity, and inclusive practices to every child, we started our journey in 2019. It was heartwarming and humbling to see many of you supporting us initially with your contribution to our crowdfunding campaign.?Thank YOU for being a part of our lives.

The first three years of Ginny's Planet have been unique in many ways.?In Year 1, we saw the 'firsts'?- first training, first product (Ginny), first sale, first employee, first intern, first stall, first small-grant, first office, first partnership, first award, the first time being featured, and so on.?

Year 2 was unexpected?with Covid 19 leading to lockdown and disruptions. And this led us to another set of firsts! First online workshop, first online event,?A Day on Ginny's Planet?evolving to become our flagship programme, the first batch of Mom-Internship, first employee outside Delhi, and so on! We navigated through this mixed year with your friendship and support. Our partnerships expanded and possibilities increased.?

We entered Year 3?along with the extremely difficult times?as the worst COVID wave hit India. On a personal level, this was a tough phase for everyone on Ginny's Planet. And it felt personal each time we saw a child in our network losing their loved ones.?

Turning 3 with all these experiences is special. And our list of firsts is not over yet! The first?batch of summer internships in blended mode is taking place this month. This is also the first time that we announced the position of?Summer Intern- Empathy & Inclusion. And, don't miss out on the?upcoming launch of Ginny's Planet T-shirts with our key tagline: Being Different is OK!?Later this year, we will be launching new stories of Ginny and finally introducing her friend Sai too!?
