I'm pleased to share links to all 29 Internship Success TIPs with you in this article.
What a kick this Internship Success Series has been!
It started as an idea to share some success tips with students who were interning this summer.
I was lucky enough to intern five times with John Deere, and it literally changed my life.
I wanted to try and pay it forward in a small way to some of today's interns.
TIP#1 was a plain text post on June 13th
Surprisingly, that first post got quite a lot of traction (7,395 views so far), so I kept writing and posting. It was fun.
Woo Hoo!
There were people out there in LinkedIn land who were actually viewing and reading my content.
For TIP #11, I stepped out of my conservative box
Went a little wild (for me) by creating a title graphic that featured me in one of my favorite t-shirts. It was super fun.
Hey, it was a summer series after all. I figured casual attire would be ok.
What do you think?
Bonus Weekend TIP #12.5 included my first ever "native" video clip
Another big step. I used my iPhone to shoot and edit (iMovie app) a short video clip (shout out to my video guru friend, Scott Skibell, for his iPhone video training).
And I was off to the races...
More writing + more videos = more posts = more TIPs...29 to be exact.
And now it's over (for now)
Yesterday I posted TIP #27, the final tip in the Summer Series.
Let me say it again, writing and posting this series has been a real kick.
Here are a few of the many reasons why I'm so grateful to the readers who showed up to read, view, LIKE and Comment on the content I posted:
- Most importantly, I hope I helped a number of hard-working interns by sharing some of my experiences, thoughts and expertise.
- I had fun using Canva to build all of the title graphics
- I learned how to use my iPhone and iMovie to quickly shoot and edit video clips
- I met and connected with a ton of nice people on LinkedIn, both students and full-time professionals with a host of different skills.
Thank you again, and as promised in the header graphic, below is a list of hot-linked titles to all of the posts in the 2018 Summer Internship Success Series. Please, continue reading, viewing, learning and sharing.
Finally, you're invited to continue following me for what I'm calling the 2018 Fall Career Fair & Recruiting Success Series !
