2018 Entropy Best Paper Awards
With our inaugural issue published in 1998, 2018 marks Entropy’s 20th anniversary. To celebrate the 20-year anniversary, the Editorial Board is proud to announce a Best Paper Award to acknowledge the authors’ support and recognize their outstanding scientific accomplishments. We hope this award will encourage the publishing of high-quality papers in the journal.
For the 2018 Best Paper Awards, papers published between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017 are eligible to compete for the award. Based on a thorough evaluation by the journal award committee, two papers (research or review articles) will receive an award.
Selection criteria:
- Editors seek to recognize innovative or creative papers with transparent, reproducible, rigorous, and relevant science. The quality and clarity of the presentation will be considered, as will the potential impact of the paper in its field.
- Open to all age groups and career levels.
- Editors will nominate papers for consideration according to the following criteria:
? Scientific rigor
? Significance
? Originality
Prizes:
Two final winners will be selected. Each winner will receive a certificate, a cash award of 500 CHF, and an offer to publish a paper free-of-charge in Entropy (a value of 1600 CHF). The winners will be announced around the end of December 2018.
