"2017 is the year of the Fire Rooster!"

2017 is the year of the Rooster according to the Chinese horoscope, which begins January 28, 2017.

The rooster being the sign of dawn and awakening, triumph and success can only be achieved at the price of hard work and patience in 2017.

The Rooster is tenth in the Chinese zodiac. Each year is related to an animal sign according to a 12-year cycle. Years of the Rooster include 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, and 2029.

In Chinese element theory, each zodiac year is associated with one of five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, or Earth, which means that a Fire Rooster, for example, comes once every 60-year cycle.

It is theorized that a person's characteristics are decided by their birth year's zodiac sign and element. So there are five types of Roosters, each with different characteristics:

• Wood Rooster: 1945, 2005 (Energetic, overconfident, tender, and unstable)
• Fire Rooster: 1957, 2017 (Trustworthy, with a strong sense of timekeeping and responsibility at work)
• Earth Rooster: 1909, 1969 (Lovely, generous, trustworthy, and popular with their friends)
• Gold Rooster: 1921, 1981 (Determined, brave, perseverance, and hardworking)
• Water Rooster: 1933, 1993 (Smart, quick-witted, tenderhearted, and compassionate)

But i believe this new year brings hope, festivity, lots and lots of resolutions, and many more goals that need to be achieved.

2016 was an exciting year, many things happened and changed our world. In the coming year of 2017, i wish all to be more successful, to love and be loved, and to look into the future holding hands with your better half.

By the way, I myself have 5 pieces of chickens at home but have no pieces of rooster, so maybe i going to buy some pieces from Karwan Bazar on this 1'st January to celebrate the year of the rooster. Just kidding, Best Wishes for you and your friends and family :)
