2017 Mercedes-AMG GLS63 4MATIC crossover SUV is a part of complete re branding for 2017 AMG models. 2017 GLS63 equipped with 5.5 liter twin turbocharged V-8 able to produce 577 horsepower at 5500 rpm (more 27 hp now) and 561 lb-ft of torque at 1750 rpm pairing with seven speed automatic transmission, which can be manually operated by metal paddle shifters available behind three spoke steering wheel. Clocks 4.3 to reach 60 mph from standstill, which means its not quick enough.
With Dynamic Select Control in Sport+ setting vehicle lowers height, provides quick throttle response and stiffen dampers provides better driving. Comfort, Sport, Slippery and Individual are other modes available. Comfort mode provides reasonable quality ride with less responsive throttle. Weighing 5858 pounds, Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires, 15.4 inch front rotors and 14.2 inch rear motors combination consumes 166 feet to stop form 70 mph. EPA remains 13/17 mpg city/highway rating.
