In 2015 I was working with 'Formula e' on their entertainment platform having successfully negotiated the deal against stiff competition. To help me deliver the contract I set up CDC Entertainment with Chris Hunt and Derek Nelson who I set up Digital Classics PLC with in 1999 (now DCD Media PLC) I later found out were responsible for defrauding the Michael Jackson concert in Cardiff of $5m. Chris then did it again and 'misplaced' £500K of the Formula e money and bankrupt CDC, me and our investors. Whilst Chris and most of the investors survived the stress of losing my wife, 3 children and house was too much for me to cope with and eventually my head popped.
I could not work, and the one job I did get, for Ericsson UDN I manager to close two deals in two weeks with Endemol Shine and BT only for a senior director to get cross I had closed a deal with "her account" despite having no engagement with the company she had me fired so my enthusiasm for a great concept, UDN, was cut short and my health went down hill, adding depression to the mix.
Now I am coming back to life and I am regaining my ability to walk and talk, mostly through working and continuing to develop projects for the internet such and www.comppsy.org with Prof. Robin Murphy of Oxford and www.Garantier.co.uk.
I sold a stake in my MediaWave business to Microsoft pre- 9/11 in 2001 after we had pioneered Live webcasting of Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney (twice), Madonna, Elton John, Oasis, Kylie, Duran Duran, Aha, 2000 Eurovision Song Contest, Roger Taylor of Queen and over 1,000 live corporate events for Microsoft, PWC, etc the list goes on and on and on. Recently I worked with Paloma Faith in Singapore. So my music industry work speaks for itself whilst my internet project will continue for many years yet.
My next project is going to be my biggest challenge and most satisfying of my life. I intend to survive having a Stroke, physically whilst mentally I have not changed and I don't hold a grudge against Chris Hunt he has lost a lot of friends from what he has done to people and I feel sorry for him. I am making new friends every day and growing stronger by the hour. on 19th May I will complete a marathon, the www.Leadenboot.org around the Derbyshire Peak District.
Please support the Stroke Association, not for me but for those less fortunate.

5 年Actually they were TIA’s (mini strokes) but really frightening I’ve gone on to pass my HGV, do Derbyshire Peak District’s hardest marathon the #Leadenboot and start a VR company.

5 年Well done Chris and good luck! I’m glad that you find the generosity to forgive people like those you refer to....I unfortunately am a Scorpio and the concept of not getting even doesn’t feature in our workshop manual.
