So if we look at gold's performance over the past 30 day's on average it has climbed a massive 5.3% from where it was and if we compare that to the performance of the FTSE 100 over the same time it has declined 2.54%.

Does that mean 2016 is the year of gold? Well with more and more worrying news about the state of the equity markets every day maybe it's time to try something a little different.
