Will 2016 be a breaktrough for instore mapping?

Stores get bigger and bigger. Customers have less time and need to navigate swiftly through the enormous stores to reach their shopproducts. Instore gps seems still not necessary but showing a map which moves customers around might be a nice step forward to ease the shopping possibilities. Who is starting this challenging process?

Nice example, Peter! Numerous solutions can be thought of, depending on the clients' wishes to acomodate customers a better shopping experience. I am thinking about the Internet of Things, in which in this case the "Things" are actually the customers. Using sensors human traffic could be monitored and viewed by apps on mobile devices.
