201.5 hours of b2b Sales training content

Read time:?3 minutes.

A big thank you to those who went out and purchased SOS, the Sales Operating System.

44 copies sold in week 1!

Now, the goal was 100, which we've extended out through this week.

So what do we need to do to hit our goal?

(Insert Sales Pitch)

56 copies sold in one day, and that day is today.

To do that, I am asking for your support.

Now, this is interesting because in SOS, I teach a content-led sales strategy. That's hard to execute if the only weapon you were left with was the phone.

Second, I'm a huge phone person.

If you know me, I was essentially born with a phone attached to my ear.

Let's look at simple math.

Phone - 5% connect rate, 50% of those would be actual decision-makers, so 2.5 conversations today, 25% of those convert, that's 14 prospect meetings per month IF you are calling 100 people. Also, at optimal times. Also, with accurate mobile numbers. Also...., they have to pick the phone up. So,

LinkedIn Voice Note - Assume a 30% connect rate, BUT, you are limited to 100 sends per week, (or so, clawback unaccepted invites after 10 days, etc.). 120 connections per month, x 12 months, that's 1,440 new connections who likely each have a 1st-degree network of around 5,000 or so if that's a decision maker. I can also share content, (vidyard / loom), links, and articles. etc. in addition to voice notes. If 10% of those people ended up meeting with you because they saw content that was applicable to a problem they were looking to solve. That's 144 new meetings annually or 12 prospect meetings per month.

Data says the phone wins

Actually, doing both wins.

I'll take 26 new meetings per month all day, and so will you.

So the question is, what are you doing about it?

I have an idea...

The very first part of this post totally hit home with me. We do a ton of email campaigns and to your point, I started thinking about how much I loathe email. In fact somedays if I'm busy on a project I can't even bring myself to open it, and the longer it goes unseen the more I loathe opening it up. During the day when I get solicited emails from randoms - I am annoyed. I work all the time so if someone catches me on a weekend or after hours - chances are I won't be annoyed and will actually read their email. Totally brilliant. Truthfully I feel kinda silly not figuring this out on my own...but it's the sheep mentality. You do what everyone else says you should do. I'm going to try something different, and stop listening to everyone else. Here's the thing: Who cares if less people see it on Saturday, they will still have it in their inbox on Monday. Love your posts!
