Successful Businesses - How Do We Get There?
On reflection of 2014 - A lot of startup businesses have been successful, some have hit the ground running some have been fighting and working hard for their moment in 2014 and especially here in Northern Ireland we have seen great growth and investment for our startups,
a famous quote from Ali rings true here for those start ups:
But what about existing businesses? How successful have they been? In terms of success you should look towards businesses such as Google, Dropbox, Netflix, Yelp, Apple all of which have been very successful in 2014.
My thoughts lead me to question "how do different businesses become successful?"
There are various businesses out there that ensure their employees have everything they need, absolutely everything... food, facilities, luxurious benefits, flexible and relaxed working environments!
There are also businesses out there that are stern and regimented, that supply the minimum needed by an employee but enough that will comply with various laws and legislation, they insist on employees being in work at all times at specific times, these two types of business styles if you like are so different but both can create and grow a successful business!
How do businesses become successful? Do they remain relaxed and timid in their approach to work life, or do they regiment and control every aspect of work life? Do they refresh the work force from the floor all the way up the ladder, every once and a while bringing in new fresh styles and ideas to drive and push the business in a new direction? or do you retain and keep the same ideas and work force for many years??
