While it is true that normal business activities tend to slow down during the holidays, this season often proves to be very active for talent acquisition. Our most progressive clients get a head start on their New Year's goals by adding the impact personnel that will take their business to the next level.
December is generally seen as a time of winding down in business but here are a few reasons to keep hiring at the end of the year.
- Pro-active Integrators that are preparing for the upcoming year will tend to want teams in place for the new year as they set to achieve their expanding goals.
- Beat the competition. While your competitors take a rest over the holiday period, beat them to interviewing the impact players in your market.
- Candidate availability. Simply put, the best candidates are most often currently working; often the holiday "lull" offers the best time for the passive candidate to explore a new opportunity.
- Get the "on-boarding process" behind your new employee. We all know that it takes time to attain 100% productivity in a new employee. Why not deal with the biggest chunk of lost productivity over a slower business period?
Recruiting in December is NOT a bad idea. Give yourself a head start to a profitable 2015 and call us today.
