LOGGING-ON: NOVEMBER -2014
In Logging-on’s first edition of November, we present four new wheeled harvesters from Komatsu Forest. These range from thinning machines to large final felling machines. We examine the results of the New Zealand logging industries Independent Forestry Safety Review Final Report, which aims to make logging safer, specifically on steep slopes. Nokian has released a new truck trailer tyre for demanding conditions, such as those experienced in forestry. Seppi M has produced the largest forestry tiller and stone crusher machine in the world, and Logging-on highlights the key features. Finally, we look at a new chipper from Doppstadt that has a slewable conveyor discharge for high productivity.
