Vedic Epic Story of Aranyani and Sindhura
Revealed by The Kingdom of Shiva
The Kingdom of Shiva takes forward the story of Aranyani. This creation is mysterious! It is true that a life is a mystery and one cannot know its secrets. Nevertheless, there is logic to the universe beyond understanding, as they should to help learn, heal, and to love.
Goddess Parvati loved Nandanavana; the sacred garden situated East of Kailash. Delightfully, Parvati watched birds gliding and lifting as others flapped. Large birds hovered over. Some birds took off while some landed. Birds chirped while others sang melodious sounds. The language of birds is compellingly interesting. Nandanavana was their Paradise, carpeted with the most luminescent colourful fragrant flowers. Some spectacularflowers resemble a bird’s beak with head plumage. Other plants bear unique blooms resembling brilliant neon coloured birds in flight. Parvati was extremely pleased with the magnificent environment ~ waterfalls flowing ever so gently as if chanting Omkara whilst falling into infinity-like natural ponds, calm lakes, and a huge mass of glaciers silently flowing into the Devacuta…melting and forming huge bodies of water. A stunningly beautiful phenomenon with an effervescent rainbow arched over them ~with a bow formation of seven colours. The overall effect was magnificent ~ incoming light reflected back over a wide range of angles creating a bright band. Parvati stood at the foot of Kalpavriksha, the divine Wish-Granting Tree, also known as Kalpapadama, Kalpadruma, and Baobab tree. Benevolently, Parvati wished to have a most beautiful girl endowed with nine divine gifts of peace, purity, knowledge, energy, patience, respect, prosperity, success, and happiness. At once, Parvati’s wish fulfilled by Kalpavriksha. In her arms, Parvati cradled her most gracious beautiful baby. Looking into her daughter’s ocean blue eyes, Parvati prophesied her child would attract anyone with her first gaze upon them. Shefound comfort in hugging her daughter closely against her chest and her arms wrapped around her neck. As Parvati drew near to kiss her daughter, her nose passed to the side of her nose and felt lips softer than a rose petal and her mouth sweet as honey ~ thusly, Parvati named her Aranyani. As the circumstances compelled, Parvati handed Aranyani to the Divine Kalpavriksha to complete the wished endowment blessings.
Just before the manifestation of Aranyani as gifted daughter of Kalpavriksha, Lord Brahma was busy in creating various forms of Gandharva, Yaksha, Kinnara, Kimpurusha, Rakshasa, Nagas, Suparna, Vanaras Vidyadhara, Valikilya, Pisacha, Devas, Danavas, Asuras, and Human beings. It was a very tiring day and made an accidental yawn. This gave a birth to a supernaturally beautiful male child, who was glowing with red complexion like Vermilion. Goddess Saraswati named him as Sindhura. Lord Brahma empowered Sindhura with the powers of invincibility and the ability to travel wherever he pleased in an instant. Goddess Saraswati desired Sindhura to be eternal.
Sindhura fell in love with Aranyani and she desired him to reach the stage of Saguna Brahman and learn from Ganesha Geeta in Virat Rupa of Lord Ganesha.
After learning the secrets of Ganesha Geeta, Sindhura made a humble request, “Oh merciful Lord! Having full understanding of Ganesha Gita, I have no desire for worldly pleasures. May I request you to absolve me in your body by wearing my Sindhura-colour so as to cherish Ganesha Gayathri Mantra, and this may please your sister Aranyani? Soon she will understand my true love for her.”Lord Ganesha blessed him, “Let it be so, Sindhura! Let Sindhura-colour first be applied to the woman by her husband on the day of her wedding~ called as Sindhura Dana ceremony. After this time, she must apply this every day herself in the parting of hairline as commitment to long-life and well-being of her husband. Sindhura bestows upon married women the power to overcome seduction, sexuality, eroticism passion, and immorality.
Lord Ganesha proposed the marriage of Aranyani with Sindhura. Lord Shiva and mother Parvati perfumed their marriage in grandeur. They blessed all with blissful married lives and blessed brides with Sindhura-colour at their hairline-parts beginning at the forehead as guardian angels to ward off evil temptation. By applying Sindhura-color on the forehead, the married women will be free from the aliments of Vata, Kapha, and Pitta. “This is a gift from Ganesha,” said Parvati.
Lord Vishnu and his consorts, Maha Lakshmi and Bhu Devi, now proclaimed, “Oh Aranyani! Thou shalt dwell as the Goddess of the Forests and the Animals on Earth forthwith.Forests are considered sacred and act as sources of life and fertility as well the highest form of cultural evolution possible. This will strengthen Bhu Devi in caring more for the all-living and nonliving in Bhu-Loka.”
In unison, Aranyani and Sindhura touched the feet of Lord Vishnu, Maha Lakshmi, and Bhu Devi and received their blessings. Thou shalt be Vana-devata enjoying my bliss when he incarnates as Lord Sri Ram during his exile at Dandakaranya. Thou shalt be Ashok Sundari to enjoy the blissful love of Radha and Krishna at Vrindavan, and when I reincarnate as Lord Sri Krishna spending childhood days in the company of young cowherd girls known as Gopis in Dwaparayuga. Thou shalt be clothed with beauty as well as with mystery soaring far beyond regions which Humankind can attain, to commune with the heavens with the spirit of the storm, and to be familiar with lightning's flash which teems with myriad of virtues and of beneficial uses to humankind. Thine forests give rise to several sacred trees on Earth, Vata, Kapha, and Pitta. “This is a gift from Lord Ganesha,” said Parvati.

The Banyan tree symbolizes Trimurti. The Bael tree is considered to be sacred as well because of its alliance with Lord Shiva who is pleased by Bael leaf offerings. The Peepal Tree or "Ashwatha" Bodhi tree or "Tree of Enlightenment” symbolises Me.The Bamboo tree is also a sacred tree for its association with Lord Krishna. Although banana is not a tree, it is revered as a sacred tree because its fruits are offered to Me and Goddess Lakshmi. Worshipping the Banana tree with flowers brings welfare to devotees’ families. Bananaleaves are used during several religious festivals. The Bhang Tree is considered an auspicious tree as it brings wealth and prosperity. The leaves and flowers of this plant ae described as “Prasad" for Mahashivaratri. The Tulsi plant is always associated with purity, revered by the Hindus, and most loved by Lord Vishnu and Vrinda Devi. Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva blessed both Aranyani and Sindhura to be first couple of Nature to protect the glory and bliss of Nature ~ to make it conducive to joyous livesfor all living and non-living in Bhu-Loka. Sindhura-colour bestows the merits of Ganesha Geeta on married women when applied on the forehead. This focuses married women to live with devoted mind and pure bliss controlling hunger, thirst and the desire for lust. Let this Nectar of Yoga remove all ignorance and give strength to avoid the downtrodden with their negative influences that cause division and offense.
Pleased, Lord Brahma and Goddess Sarswati declared, “This is indeed a most memorable occasion in the Kingdom of Shiva. This happens to be the wedding day of their son Sindhura and Aranyani, the lonely daughter of Lord Shiva and Parvati. This is the rebirth of Ganesha and all those lost lives in the battle of Lord Shiva and Ganesha.
