The New World of Social Media - Part 2

There is no doubt now that our privacy is now under attack from every corner, especially from private companies and governments, all in the name of security. So those who know have embrace Tor Network as their new form of communicating. It gives browsers the ability to be online and maintain their anonymity, as well as resist censorship in any of its varied formats.

The Tor Network however must be entered with caution, and it is strongly recommended that you do not use or give any of your personal details to any group, companies or individuals you might encounter while browsing there. Due to the secretive nature of this platform, Bitcoin is its preferred form of payment. This company has no ties to any of the established banks, and is not regulated in the global financial system.

Obviously there are certain disadvantages to doing business in this environment, especially for the uninitiated:-

1.) You will have to buy Bitcoins at your own risk

2.) These companies that you purchase from is usually not well known and proper due- diligence can be very difficult.

3.) Not all the companies selling are legitimate

As social media companies become more and more invasive in our personal lives, most will start closing their accounts and registering with new ones, until they start doing the same thing in the name of profit, or Governmental requirement. This vicious cycle will no doubt force some to keep their social interaction to a minimum, while others will become active users of the Tor/Onion arena because of the privacy it affords them. ,

We all must decide how much of our personal freedom and privacy we are willing to sacrifice in the name security and safety, and at the same time be understanding that the internet and Social Media specifically, has been of great benefit to all of us.

Through social media marketers have been able to magnify their message allowing for mass communication in a very short time. Sites are presently available such as ezinearticles where you can submit a single article, that if well written and informative, can be reposted to other such directories and might even end up on some of the major news network sites. If you can create your own video, which is quite simple for most smart phones today, you can submit them for free to the top free video submission sites, such as Vimeo, Vevo, Veho, Metacafe, and Flickr to name a few. You can reach millions of people a month by doing this.

Some have failed to take advantage of the many wonderful services that are presently available for free, or a small fee simply because they do not know of them or choose to keep using the same old source of marketing such as news papers. There is a site presently online called newspaperdeathwatch.com that keep track of all the news papers that are presently closing there doors, and still most businesses have not taken the time to research (or pay someone) or discover the current or emerging forms of marketing online where most of their customers are.

If you are a business owner or marketer reading this, have you been marketing your products and/or services online or on mobile platforms? If not, why not? The question now is not if you have a website for your business, but is it mobile ready? meaning does it present a problem when viewed on a smartphone. Mobile will be the way most get their news and buy products in the very near future; Does ApplePay sound familiar? when will you get onboard? or will you choose to remain functionally illiterate in this new Social Media Society?......the choice is yours.
