About This Book:
Life was good, God was blessing and the Marshall family was riding high, until Carmella Marshall's husband, Nelson asks for a divorce and then moves in with his girlfriend who also happens to be her twenty-three-year-old daughter's best friend. Her son gets arrested, her daughter drops out of college, the bills go unpaid, and then Carmella has a nervous breakdown. The Marshalls have ups and downs like any other family. However, Carmella always thought that God would see them through anything. But when Nelson left and her life fell apart, she realized just how weak she could become, without the strength of God guides her way. Through prayer, praise, and a love that bonds families together, Carmella renews her trust in the Lord and discovers a way to turn her life around. In TEARS FALL AT NIGHT, the Marshalls discover that even when everything goes wrong, they can still lift their hands and praise God anyhow. Readers will be emotionally invested in the characters from the start. The character's pain and inner struggles lead to heart-wrenching scenes. Themes of faith, forgiveness and reconciliation make this a powerful testament to God's faithfulness that will remain with the reader long after the final page.
Tears Fall At Night- Praise Him Anyhow Series #1 Book Review:
Congratulations to Author Vanessa Miller for writing a wonderful Christian Novel. In the beginning of this book, Judge Nelson Marshall does an unbelievable thing by leaving his wife Carmella for a much younger woman. Carmella really thought that she had a great marriage. She had to deal with encounters multiple problems in addition to the obvious one of the abandonment by her husband. Vanessa teaches her readers the hardships in life rather it is with family members, finances, friends and other issues become very devastating. The message of God walking us through times of heartbreak and suffering is well-founded. I love the way how Vanessa fully develops the characters in this storyline. Judge Nelson Marshall's infidelity not only affected his wife Carmella but it also affected their children. Carmella and her children have placed Nelson on a pedestal and convince that he couldn't do no wrong. They also failed to notice that he is a human who is vulnerable to immorality. Things really start to fall apart when Nelson decides to leave his family but through prayer and praise, Carmella is able to get her life back and move forward. Through the character of Carmella shows us that if we put God first before everything else that things will start to change for the better. Prayer will change things but we must believe that. Carmella was struggling with her faith at first then she also show us that we have the power in our words. Words can help us or it can hurt us. The choice is ours to make. Even when we fall down but we sure can get back up. That's something really to praise Him for. He deserves all of our praise.
Tears Fall At Night was my first book that I read by Vanessa Miller. This is the first book in the Praise Him Anyhow series. Vanessa make sure that her readers connect to the characters in this story. She wants you to relate what they are going through from the first page. Although this book is a fiction, it portrays how one can conquer unfortunate circumstances. This inspirational story can minister to you by helping you deal with hard times, while display a picture to show you there is a light at the end of the tunnel by taking all your burdens to the Lord. This book is well written that it is easy to read and proceed from the characters. In the introduction Vanessa hauls you right into the center of the drama and you find yourself feeling every single emotion being experienced by the characters. I love the authenticity of the story that was well created. Just because you are a Christian that you will have storms in your life just like other people. Some of us may actually honestly doesn't have faith in God. We must put the focus on God rather than on the circumstances and with a good morale booster, triumph is sure at the point in our lives. We must give God all of our praise rather it is in the good or bad times. Even during our bad times that we can praise Him Anyhow. This book will teach you how to praise Him anyhow. God is truly good all the time. We are to praise Him in the mist of the storms in our lives just like the good times. Life will throw you a curve that never expected but we must remember God's faithfulness to us. Carmella lost her faith in God for a minute because that hurt was just too painful for her. Even through your pain, just remember whom you belong to and through the victory you still can praise him anyhow.
Vanessa's writing will minister to her readers through the characters in restoring their faith in God. This book will be perfect for Sunday School or Bible Study lesson. Regardless of what your situation is that you should continue to praise God anyhow. Also you should put your trust in God because he knows what is best for us. At the end there is victory in the praise. If you are looking for a great Christian book, I recommend you to read this book first since this is part of a series. Also in this book there are bonus materials to the preview of the next book from this author. I am looking forward to read her next book "Joy Comes In The Morning."
