“The Healthy Power of Technology"

Technology is ever-evolving and presents opportunities for improvement across various spectrums of the health industry. I founded GetWellNetwork? because we recognized the need to improve the patient experience based on events in my own life. Today, we work alongside healthcare leaders in the US and across the world who are passionate about patient and family engagement, and who are leveraging patient-facing technology to improve outcomes across the care continuum. I am honored and look forward to be participating in “The Healthy Power of Technology" panel session at the U.S. News Hospital of Tomorrow summit next Tuesday, October 7. This topic is undeniably important today with personal technology – smartphone apps, wearable devices, etc. – changing the delivery of health care. The leadership and clinical staff at hospitals, ambulatory and other care settings are already taking advantage of these tools’ widespread popularity because they see the opportunity for providing a better care experience. These tools are gaining traction because they offer dynamic, personalized experiences for patients and their families, whether it’s through tracking exercise, on-demand patient education and reminders, condition indicators or various other elements that contribute to their health.
