New Goal New You
With the leaves starting to turn and autumn beckoning, it is a great time to turn within and take stock of where you are and the rewards you have reaped.
Did you set yourself any goals to achieve over the past few months? Did you reach those goals? Now is a great time to re-evaluate what worked and what didn’t. Also, to think about what you would like to do more of in the future.
Are you happy with how your efforts were rewarded? Do you feel inspired to take on even greater challenges? The great thing about setting yourself goals is that you become a high achiever. The more challenges you set yourself the more purpose you have in your life, and the more confident you become in achieving whatever you set your mind to.
“You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result.” — Gandhi
It is so true, unless we take action and try to achieve something we will never know if we could have done it. Until we take chances and try to make changes in our life, nothing will change.
"If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got."
-- W. L. Bateman
Every day we are setting ourselves unconscious goals; to get up in the morning, to go to work, to meet with friends etc. However these just become activities that we do to keep going. When we set functional and focused goals with clear steps of achieving them, then magic happens.
Goodbye comfort zone! Once you leave it, and look back from your new vantage point of being an achiever, you will never believe how stifled and stilted you had become. We don’t see our apathy when we are in it, it is only through growth and taking action that we can look back and see where we were.
Is there something you want to achieve that you have been putting off? Or not tried out of fear that you will not succeed? If you never try you will never know. Also, the thing about challenging yourself is that you will not be the same person who started out as you will be when you finish.
Now is the optimum time to set yourself a new goal, or to put into place everything necessary for any new year resolutions you are considering. Although, don’t keep putting things off; ‘I’ll do it later’ can be the one guarantee that nothing will never get done.
Having a strategy and clear direction not only keeps you motivated, it spurs you on to think positively, and in new ways. The growth, and the lessons you learn along the way make you into a stronger, and more creative person. Are you ready to take positive action towards making your dreams come true?
