Apple Payments - Tyranny of Tansparency

Given that I was underwhelmed by Apple's new product cycle (the new iwatch design looks a bit like the first iphone put in a washer and dryer to fit on an arm.), one part clearly spiked my interest. Apple's recent news has three odd connections to Dave Eggers "The Circle".

(1) The fictional campus in "The Circle" has eerie similarities to the new "Apple Circle" undergoing construction.

(2) TruYu is the one payment system that rules them all, and Apple is doing the same with the first dip into mobile payments.

(3) The Tyranny of transparency held by a single company. You can't even go to sleep at night anymore knowing that your new watch watches everything about you.

Literature always had a time lapse between an idea voiced in a book to the actual invention.

HG Wells "War of the Worlds" was published in 1898, creating a laser emitting alien machine, which served as an inspiration to the inventor of the actual laser Theodore Maiman. This represents a time lapse of about 62 years, from the fictional to reality.

Dave Eggers book was published in fall of 2013 and Apple caught up to him in less than a year.....

Read more books, they help you create the brave new worlds of the future.
