Lock, Stock & Barrel!

It’s an interesting book that I read many years back. It talks about the familiar sayings and their meanings.
For example, to be ‘above board’ is to be honest and open to view; the opposite is to be secretive, hidden from sight and by association fraudulent. The term comes from the card table (the board0 at which cheats would drop their hands below the table, in order to change their cards to form a more favourable hand. When all play is ‘above board’ there can be no suspicion of trickery.
This reminds me that for we packaging technologists, the life is no different. If I try to explain the meaning of book from packaging technologists' point of view, it could be:
1. Lock: Tamper evidence
2. Stock: Material options and availability
3. Barrel: It’s the real container around which entire packaging revolves
So based on this saying of Lock, stock and barrel we have come out with an idea to tell you more meanings about the popular words in packaging and we also expect you to add your familiar packaging sayings here for the benefit of entire packaging community.
This is done through our blog https://www.packagingconnections.com/blog/2014/08/26/lock-stock-and-barrel/
Thank you and Enjoy the Wonders Of Packaging!
