Has it been worth it?

Choosing to live an abundant life. Teaching others to do the same by helping change the paradigm and the programming we live by, the stories we tell ourselves and the illusions we create as a result. One of a kind.
So here we are counting the days down to Christmas already and still chasing the numbers. Can we look back on our year so far and consider it a good one filled with value?
I myself am now closer to my death than my birth - a profound thought and realisation - definitely not a morbid or depressive one - just profound! I realise that no matter what I start new now doesn't have as much time as what it would have if I had started at 21. Does that mean that I shouldn't start something new? Why not? If ever there was a time to enjoy life, then now is definitely the time. As one gets older you begin to realise just how much we put on hold for "when we retire, when we have a bigger house, car or bank balance". We always have another goal to reach before we are "happy" or satisfied with what we have.
We sometimes live through a life of abundance never actually knowing that it is abundant because we measure our treasure by what society considers to be important. Having said that; everybody's experience is different and we all measure our worth and value from different perspectives.
My question is: now that you are at the top of whatever pile it is you wanted to get to, are you happy? Do you know when to, or for that matter, how to stop? Do you ever take time out for yourself or are you afraid that you will lose momentum in your business or your career. Are you lost in the jungle of deadlines and 'to do' lists that are steadily driving you over the cliff?
Perhaps now is the time to look at going back to basics and becoming an Essentialist where you learn how to just stop and take some time out to recharge your batteries.
Until next time.
