15 Commandments to follow while facing Interviews

First & foremost behaviour is to stay calm & in-control across your entire interaction , ensure you are dressed properly in Formals/Business Casuals , shoes must be well polished/cleaned and never show that you are desperate for this job . Some commandments for having best of interviews :

1. Be attentive & ensure to listen to the questions sincerely
2. Even if you know the answer properly think or pretend to think before speaking
3. Understand & structure the problem , develop an executable framework
4. Analyse the question & focus on high impact issues
5. Simplify the question asked in mind , generate a hypothesis & explore options creatively
6. Demonstrate business judgment specially when appearing for senior roles
7. If possible make quick & accurate calculations but don’t rush & give vague answers
8. Make efforts towards synthesising your thoughts & draw conclusions from your analysis
9. Don’t run into the analysis without developing an understanding of the problem
10. Don’t panic if the answer is not apparent , if not sure avoid answering
11. Don’t defend your solutions at all cost , be flexible but don’t allow the objective to dilute
12. Don’t internalise your thought process
13. Don’t stick to an artificial framework , remain natural to the extent possible.
14. If not asked , don’t circulate cases or use advance knowledge.
15. Be yourself & have fun discussing cases , make conversation exiting.
