What do you want?

What do you want?

One can keep questioning everything about self and life until wisdom answers. What questions our wisdom of life so often notices are "What is the meaning of life and what do you want, and where is it?" What watches these questions arise and fall in your conscious or subconscious mind yet remains still and silent, and is unmoved by these questions? Definitely, yes.

What is life? What is the meaning of life? What can make us happy and our life meaningful: money, vacation, glamour, achievements, spicy beauty, love, marriage, children, enjoyment and religion? Well, once we get them, do we remain happy? If yes, then is it forever? If not, then why not? Didn’t we think before that this one will make me happy? When I got it, then after a certain time, why I am no longer happy with that?

Life repeats itself whether we want it or not. On what foundations do we want to live our life on? The purpose of life is to be a constructive part of our reality. If not, then what will happen to our expectations, to our desires when the same thing has different or the same faces?

We can stretch our imaginations to the infinity of time and space and build a castle of dreams and fantasies which gives us temporary joy and happiness. But at the end, what is the outcome of that colorful world? Then we ask why did I not get it? What needs to be done to get? And where is it?

Is this all that there is? Some may react and ask what and where? Well, that exactly this discussion is for – ‘what’ and ‘where’. What do you want? And where are they? To get what we want, what do we need to do? We ask and find the answers most of the time, then we go for them. Sometimes we get, sometimes don’t. But again we ask ourselves what do we want next and where are they? In some reflective moments, these questions may get even abstract and abstruse, what is love? What is justice? Where is truth? What is peace? And where are they? And what do I need to do to attain them?

But I would like to go back to the words, ‘what’ and ‘where’. One may ask, what is the reason? Others may ask where are the solutions? Oh! This is what I am here for, to ask myself and if not the answers with me, then where the answers can be found? Where are they?

What did we want in the past century? What did we travel so long time for? What did we achieve? Where are they that we did not achieve? And what did we get so far? Is this all? “No, I can’t live with that; I need more, but what and where? Do I really deserve more?” But the burning questions are what do I want? And where are they? Some may think 'we have got what we wanted, that is our maximum and we are happy'. But then why people used to die for love in the past, and now more people love to die. Why? Where are the reasons?

One may ask, what is the reason for this discussion? Others may ask where is the reason? Well, we all use our most important personal calculators; we calculate “what do we need to attain it? What did I get so far? Where is it?” The oldies calculate - this is what I got so far and where is the rest of it? The young ones ask, “I want all. But what is it? Where is it?”

The personal calculator keeps ticking inside and we ask what is next? What do we want or need in this moment or the next moment, this minute or the next minute, this hour or the next hour, this day or the next day, this week or the next week, this month or the next month, this year or the next year, this life or the next life, in this ground world or in the cyber world?

Buggers like to bug, dopers like to dope, hoarders like to hoard, gamblers like to gamble and celebs even like to show their baby bumps. Why?

Because everyone wants a positive balance in his or her general ledger, and constantly and knowingly or unknowingly, we go for what we want, and what we get, we like to get the maximum of it or win something, possibly someone’s heart or affection, because we like to have a positive balance in our book. No, not maximum, all of it. If not, I will live on and endeavor for the next one, the better one.

But does not matter that much what kind of balance we have, the calculator keeps ticking in our conscious or subconscious mind and we ask what do we want? Where is it? What we got in our life, is this all? Where is the rest of it? What is coming next?

When we don’t have the answers, we have bitterness of life in this beautiful and dogmatic world that seldom we notice.

But what is a human mind? Do we ask ourselves who we really are and what do we really want? Are we in touch of our feelings? If not, then why not? Because when human beings die, they simply rot, when they are alive they always change. So do their feelings, wants and desires.

Human mind is complex and fragile full of dualities. Today what is right, tomorrow that is wrong. Today what is enough tomorrow it is not. We do not like to change our core habits because we like to stay in our no-risk or less-risk comfort zone.

Are we happy with our success? Even if we are, we are only for a while. Then we're not happy with anything. We don't want most of it, we want all of it. And we won't stop trying until we get all of it. If we think we got it, we are okay, but if not, then come grinding, frustration, and depression before we give up. Our personal life gets overburdened with a bad feeling about situations being preoccupied with negativity and depression. For an aging mind, this long build up without any interruption is harmful.

In the conclusion, some may ask, what are the solutions? Where are the solutions? I have the same questions, what are they? Where are they? Adios.

The fear in religion disciplines us, however, still unable to help us settle in our 'skylark' psyche.
