I did contact the Yahoo! Customer Care via Twitter - and they told me my account was restored a couple of days ago ... but nobody told me - very strange indeed.
At least, I got everything back !

A customer centric approach by Yahoo!
A few day ago, I suddenly could not access my private Yahoo! mail anymore - 20 years of mails unavailable in a second.
A real challenge first is to get in contact with the so-called Yahoo! Customer Care, to get as answer that my account is set for deletion and that there is no way to get it back and this without any prior notice of any kind.
Imaging what it means, loosing access to your primary account for more than 20 years ...
Here, the mail exchange - a real example how to successfully deal with a customer ...
Dear Derrick,
I am sorry to say that I consider this answer as being rude.
In addition, I got no explanation at all why Yahoo! decided to delete my account and I can’t imaging that you would appreciate your mails to just be wiped out.
I do not thank Yahoo! for its so-called Customer Care.
Cordialement, Met vriendelijke groeten, Kind Regards,
Michel J. Vanden Bossche

Dear Laney,
This is a catastrophe for me !!!
20 years of mail that would just vanish – this is my primary mail !!!
I have no idea why Yahoo! has taken the decision to delete my account – I have always been cautious with its usage.
Please, help me in getting my account back as many key information is stored into it.
Cordialement, Met vriendelijke groeten, Kind Regards,
Michel J. Vanden Bossche

Hi Mike,
Thank you for contacting Yahoo Accounts Services.
The Yahoo account you're inquiring about (mjvb) has been set for deletion and, unfortunately, can no longer be reactivated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. You are welcome to sign up again for a new Yahoo account with a variation of the original ID.
We're looking forward to your reply, Mike.
Regards,
Laney

Michel, how can you be a customer if you pay zip ? You are not a customer of yahoo. The people who pay the advertisement are the customer. You are just a means to serve the marketing boys.
