Announcing Yeti Topics

Wow, what an incredible 3 weeks! That’s right, it’s only been 3 weeks since we launched Yeti and we’ve already been covered by Forbes and Fox, grown into 100+ countries, and seen more than 250,000 swipes.

With all the growth and feedback, we’re excited to announce something new: Yeti Topics! In the past all the discussions you saw were hyper-local and user-generated (which has been extremely engaging). The problem is, it’s difficult to re-target the best stuff for you. If you like the outdoors or coffee shops, we want to be able to recommend those topics for you. With Yeti Topics, we’ve created 200+ topics that range from sushi to skydiving, basketball to shopping, and with every swipe our algorithms get smarter at recommending the most relevant discussion for you.

To give it a try, simply open Yeti and start swiping. You will see Yeti Topics mixed in with local discussions. By swiping right or left on these topics, you help Yeti find more relevant discussions for you.

We also wanted to let you in on a sneak preview for the next update. Yeti has a redesigned camera and post view, discussions view, and a cleaner / slicker interface. You can now tap the card from the homepage to enter right into the discussion. This will be live as soon as Apple approves!
