Giving Back to the Community

Companies that encourage community involvement see happier employees and distinguish themselves from their competitors.

Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, GluayGluay.com (GG) incorporated community service into their 2014 business plan. “Volunteering provides leadership opportunities for employees, increases staff sense of belonging and ‘feel good’ factor,” Vichada Chaipatavee, Assistant Manager of Operations for GG commented.

Visit to Rangsit Babies Home

Bahn Dek On Rangsit (The Rangsit Babies’ Home - www.rangsitbabyhome.org/en) in the PathumThaniProvince, outskirts of Bangkok is home to around 300 children – from six months to six years old. Many of these children are orphans while some are abandoned, or street children, abused or caught in the middle of court custody situations. Some are there because the parents are unable to care for them due to poverty, socially unfit or serving time in prison.

GG supports by donating employees' time, products and raised cash contributions internally. The following shows our recent visit to the orphanage.
