Know More About LION- I am a Born LION

Why is the Lion called the 'King of the Jungle?

Because they are the largest and most feared of the large cats. The LION has always been important in mythology, not only in India, but also in some other countries. In Mesopotamia, Ishtar the goddess of war, has always been associated with the lion. The car of the Phyrgian goddess Cybele, whose cult spread all over the Roman empire is dragged by lions. Goddess Cybele is popularly known as Mother of the mountain in ancient Rome, like the same in the Indian context, Durga and Parvati similarly associated with lion and in the different manifestations, they are also known as the goddess of the Mountain.

The Egyptian goddess Sekmet has a leonine head, while the most archaic statues of the Greek goddess Aphrodite depict the deity as accompanied by a lion. Sculptural examples of a goddess associated with lion and paired with a god associated with bull have been recovered from Anotolia. In consideration of the mount lion associated with her in the myths or in sculptural art, goddess Durga can be alternatively conceived as Mahisamardini or as Simhavahini.

Do you know on The conquest of fear?

FEAR AFFLICTS everybody. One is afraid of snakes. One is afraid of ailments — particularly the deadly ones. Someone is afraid of losing wealth, losing near and dear ones. And everybody is afraid of death. These may be imaginary fears or fears based on rational appreciation of objective facts. Basically, fear arises from deep attachment to certain objects or things and at the thought of losing those objects or things. At a philosophical level fear arises from an awareness that the object of fear is different (and dreaded) from the subject fearing it. Fear is, in the ultimate analysis, caused by the absence of true knowledge of one's own self, the non-discriminatory, eternally abiding, unchanging constant behind the ever-changing external environment.

In the Vedas there is the story of a lion calf brought up together with a flock of sheep. The baby lion was living on the grass along with other sheep in the loving care of a shepherd boy. He even started bleating like a lamb. One day a lion suddenly appeared from the wooded hill on the other side of a rivulet and jumped over the small stream and came very close to the flock of sheep. Every sheep started running for life and so did the baby lion. The big lion was surprised to see that the lion calf was eating grass like the lambs, bleating like a lamb and was running for life, full of fear at the sight of the lion. The big lion then caught hold of the baby lion, letting the lambs go and dragged him to a nearby clear and transparent lake. He then told the baby lion to see his reflection in the lake water and also see the reflection of the big lion, and having seen both the reflections the baby lion roared like a real lion and all his fears vanished.

You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestation of your own blessings. Free yourself from the complexities and drama of your life. Simplify. Look within. The Power is in Yourself.

Do you know what are Puranas?

The Puranas (Sanskrit) are ancient Hindu texts eulogizing various deities, primarily the divine Trimurti God in Hinduism through divine stories. Puranas may also be described as a genre of important Hindu religious texts alongside some Jain and Buddhist religious texts, notably consisting of narratives of the history of the universe from creation to destruction, genealogies of kings, heroes, sages, and demigods, and descriptions of Hindu cosmology, philosophy, and geography.

Lord Narasingh, Narsingh and Narasingha in derivative languages is an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu and one of Hinduism's most popular deities, as evidenced in early epics, iconography, and temple and festival worship for over a millennium. This Lord is often visualised as half-man/half-lion, having a human-like torso and lower body, with a lion-like face and claws. Lord Narasimha is also a protector of his devotees in times of danger.

There are references to Narasimha in a variety of Puranas, with 17 different versions of the main narrative. The Bhagavata Purana (Canto 7), Agni Purana (4.2-3), Brahma??a Purana (2.5.3-29), Vayu Purā?a (67.61-66), Harivamsa (41 & 3.41-47), Brahma-Purā?a (213.44-79), Vi??udharmottara Purā?a(1.54), Kurma Purana (1.15.18-72), Matsya Purana (161-163), Padma Purana (Uttara-kha??a 5.42), ?iva Purā?a (2.5.43 & 3.10-12), Linga Purana (1.95-96), Skanda Purana 7 (2.18.60-130) and Vishnu Purana (1.16-20) all contain depictions of the Narasimha avatar .

Do you know what is the Theology of ‘Time’

The Theology of ‘Time’ is that the disc represents the ‘Wheel of ‘Time’ perpetually ‘in motion. This motion of ‘Time’ is specifically represented by the Procession of the Planets in both astronomy and astrology. This is the ‘Time’ that Krishna identifies himself with in the Bhagavad Gita. It is all-consuming and merciless in its march, slaying both mountain and man. This ‘Time’, ferocious in its impact was worshiped.

This same ‘Time’ as the Beast is identical with ‘Time’ as the ‘Wheel of Fate’ and ‘the Winged Disc’. As the Beast or Lion reflects the ferocity of ‘All Devouring Time’.

The Winged Disc represents the flight of Time and its fleeting nature. The Serpent echoes the eternity, the Ananta nature, of Eternal Time. The Eagle, Garuda embodies the swiftness and the fleeting and immediate nature of Time symbolized by the Wings of Time. This is also reflected in the beneficial impact Time has upon the well engaged individual or society.

This is the Aspect of Time that rewards planting with a harvest; the Time between implementation and completion. This is the ‘Cornucopia of Time’.

The Lion, the Sphinx, Kala (monsters) Gargoyles and Simha Mukhas, and obviously Lord Narasimhadev all represent the fierceness of Merciless Time; a fierceness that brings even planets and galaxies to their doom.

The Disc is the perpetual spin and the circumambulatory motion of Time. It is the Cycle of Time or the Wheel of Time present in the turning of the seasons and the rise of the Sun and the Moon. It is the Time that perpetually returns season after season, era after era and from birth to death and from death back to birth. This is Time as the ‘Wheel of Samsara’ and the Wheel of Fate or Destiny.

Everything in the Universe is recycled and reborn. This is an observable law of Nature. In the same exact way the Undying Soul moves by the power of Time through various bodies in synch with the seasons, the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars. The influence of the Sun and the Moon are beyond doubt. We see it in the growth of babies and plants, the tides of the seas and in the menstrual cycles of women. Just as the Moon and Sun Planets influence our world, the Planets are themselves under the influence of Time. These Planets move forward, stay awhile, move away, and then return at some point in time. Be it a day or a month or even centuries later, they return, eventually, to the exact same spot in the heavens. Moving through space they are pushed forward, in a circular motion, compelled by circumambulation of the Wheel of Time. This is God as Time symbolized by the Disc.

The method for liberation is to spend one’s Time given lives and time, alchemizing the temporary material reality into an eternally blissful reality. Once successful in this pursuit, Time takes on a directly interactive and individual role and rewards such a heartfelt lover with ‘Su Darshana’, the ‘Auspicious Vision’ of God, the Lord of all Time.

If you expect the world to be fair with you because you're fair to them, its like asking a LION not to eat you because you don't eat lions.

Good analogy and similes from holy scriptures of the past used to reflect upon the quality of innate inner strength of human being. Pranam Sir.

Wonderful, absolutely agree with: If you expect the world to be fair with you because you're fair to them, its like asking a LION not to eat you because you don't eat lions. And Pray Not because You Need something But Because You have A lot to Think Good for.
