Education in Human Values

There is a growing concern among academics, parents and the general public that educational institutions around the world are churning students/graduates who possess skills and academic knowledge but void of ethical or moral values that is needed to sustain a civil society.

Today's Current Challenge

There is a global demand for more values-based education that emphasizes on the holistic development of the individual. Children are abandoning parents of old age. Rape, crime and other negative actions are on the rise rapidly. Education in Human Values (EHV) is much needed to combat these.

What is Education in Human Values (EHV) ?

Education in Human Values (EHV), is a multi-cultural self-development Programme for children, youths, young adults and adults; in fact for everyone all over the world.

EHV is based on the 5 following core values of:

  1. Love
  2. Truth
  3. Right Action
  4. Peace
  5. Non-Violence

It helps children to explore concepts of right and wrong through the use of story-telling, role play, songs, games and drama.

  • It is a simple educational system to help develop positive values in the young so that children and young adults become fit for life, rather than just fit for earning a ‘good’ living.
  • It is a universal, values-based teaching Programme for children of all cultures and faiths.
  • It addresses the needs of our time by focusing on young people throughout the world and bringing out the human values that are innate within everyone.
  • To enable young people to appreciate themselves and others, and to take greater responsibility for their actions and for the world around them.
  • EHV helps to tackle issues such as bullying and anti-social behaviour, and provide a foundation for better citizenship.
