How YOU can use a QR Code to attract customers
Ok, this is going to be a very short article and why? Because sometimes you just want to get the point across so you can get on with your day. Have you ever noticed that when a brochure comes in the mail it says “Like” us on Facebook? Or you see a sign or hoarding hanging off (or on) a building they also say “Like” us on Facebook? Now I hate to say it but why would you bother printing something like that when you cannot click on it and be taken to the Facebook page?
It is very much like the two click policy that all websites should try and abide by right? In other words make it as easy for the customer to find what they need without having to go through a rabbit warren to try and get there. Let’s be blunt there is no point in wasting advertising space on printed material if the customer cannot be taken directly to where they need to get.
So what is the answer? Well it’s easy and simple to do and it’s called using a QR Code Generator. Put simply a QR Code is something that you can put on printed materials such as brochures, posters, business cards and more. The great thing about it is someone with a smart phone or a smart device such as an iPad or Samsung Galaxy can download an APP (and most already have) that can scan the QR Code and it will go directly to whatever site someone wants.
And for small businesses and start-ups it is so easy to do. Try this site:
www.gogr.me. All you need to do is select which icon best represents how you want someone to communicate with you and add some text. Next thing you know you have generated a QR Code Logo that you can now add to all of your printed materials.
Now, here is another secret – if you want to use images via Twitter then add the QR Code to the corner of the image and people can still connect with you if they scan the QR Code Logo.
Check it out and have some fun! At EntreHub we use them on all of our materials!
