Ode To The Job You Hate

If everyone loved their job, I would be out of one. So people go to work to survive the day. They hate their boss, they hate their company, they hate their product, they hate their coworkers, they hate the air they breathe from around 7-6 depending on the hours...but they are breathing so they go into work one day at a time.
The plus side is, there's a way to make the best out of the environment you have to endure. Here's the program to survival:
Reach out to recruiters. This is not a sales pitch as the truth is recruiters thrive on companies calling since they are the ones who are paying but it takes two to tango so calling recruiters will make you feel better. It will assure you there actually may be an escape route other than the window.
Be creative. You hate the job but don't let everyone in the office know. Make the most of what you have and what you receive. Put a flare to your work, turn on some music. Think of it this way, if you turn your frown upside down eventually the world will have to smile with you.
Speak but remember silence speaks volumes too. If you are about to snap someone's head off, take a deep breath, walk away and think before you speak. Literally.
Be positive. There is always something positive even in a negative situation. You just have to see it. So think of the positives...your day at work does end, it could always be worse because you actually do get paid.
Cry. It's a stress reliever but cry on your own time in your own setting. We all get the urge to cry and it's ok but there's a time and a place.
Laugh. Instead of getting angry think, in your head, of the humorous aspect of the situation "What an a--" " Are they nuts?", "Am I actually getting paid to do this?" Laugh laugh laugh as at the end of the day when all is really all said and done, you will. The worst case scenarios always make the best stories.
Make at work projects. If you are bored or unhappy because you hate your job, well change it up a bit. Add something you enjoy or give yourself an incentive/reward at the end of the day to enjoy the day is done.
Take a break. Go out for lunch, schedule lunch with people you like out of the office, enjoy some fresh air, go window shopping, hope on a swing but take some you time as when you are in a terrible situation it's hard to remember you even exist.
Remember no place is perfect, so anywhere you work will have both pluses and negatives. So you know, even the people at Google want to make a change sometimes, remember that. You are not alone in wanting to leave you current employer.
Revamp your resume. Be ready for the change you want to happen. Instead of just mulling in your negative thoughts. Do something about and start by revamping/updating your resume.
A company is something with product or a service, what makes the company is the group of people with common goals. So make yourself the best you you can be by being beautiful inside and out. Don't let one place destroy you. Dress your best to feel great about yourself as you have to remember you matter. So be positive. Positive attracts positive...eventually.
There's a expression "We aren't thrown things we can't handle" so consider your current place of work a challenge, a competition against yourself to beat the odds of success. Set yourself a goal regarding how long you will stay as the bottom line is sometimes you just have to let time pass, give things a chance and communicate your issues to the right people but no one deserves to be in an abusive relationship so if things don't change, it's time to move on, and that's okay.
