Shift Conference 2014

Third year in a row, Split is the host of Shift conference, a business oriented IT startup event, whose proud co-organizer is locastic.

Last year's Shift has exceeded expectations by number of attendees, quality of speakers and mentors, startups and after-parties, as well as the complete atmosphere and a sense of pride and hapiness we felt after receiving a positive feedback from all around. All this was the best motivation to continue our cooperation this year, when we expect to have more than 1000 attendees from all over the world.

This year Shift consists of 5 days: June 2nd and 3rd are reserved for Shift Hackaton with $10000 prize fund. After that, on June 4th, there will be Shift Challenge, with $15000 prize fund. We are particularly proud of last year's winner Bellabeat, a Croatian-Slovenian startup, that has just closed on a $4.5 million round of funding, which is a great reference.

Conference days are June 5th and 6th, when the day will be reserved for great speakers and hanging out, all tailored for enthusiast such as us. List of speakers available at https://shiftsplit.com/conference

Thanks to enthusiasm and a strong wish to turn Split into a startup/IT centre for this part of Europe, this project was created. We expect a lot from Shift Conference this year as well. The names arriving in Split in the beginning of June, their experiences and knowledge that will be transferred to attendees, but also to us as coorganizers, are a guarantee that better times are yet to come for our industry and for our city.

We cannot emphasize enough just how proud we are to be co-organizers of this great event in Split. We honestly believe that it is an extremely important event not only for Split and business in this town, but also for the entire region that has become (slowly but surely) a fast-growing startup/IT region. One of locastic's goals has always been to promote startup culture and young entrepreneurs, as well as pursuing innovative ideas from all around. With that in mind, we are extremely happy and proud of our contribution. Success of startups and individuals that participate in this event is more joyful than anything and it is the best incentive to keep our work.

Therefore, have a good sleep and relax as much as you can (last year's attendees should know) and we will see you at the event not to be missed.
