'Press Tour' Now Means WSJ to AMA

Apportable, a portfolio company and YC graduate, just had a huge launch on the Wall Street Journal thanks to solving Bj?rk’s app woes (she had a failed kickstarter campaign to raise funds to convert her iOS app to Android — Apportable software did it in under an hour).

It’s a huge deal in a world where Android apps historically have lagged behind iOS (most founders won’t think about the former app until they’ve launched the latter — we’re even guilty of it at hipmunk, though we do now have a great app on both iOS and Android).

Now, a one-woman iOS app development shops anywhere in the world can launch on both platforms (and remember, Android has 52% of global smartphone marketshare, and growing).

Only there could he be asked a slew of questions ranging from "What's your opinion on Sprite Kit? Do you think it's going to be the demise of cocos2d?" to "Would you rather fight one Bj?rk-sized swan or one-hundred swan-sized Bj?rks?" Silly, yes, but don't dismiss it, because it's one of the unique places where one can be interviewed and shine not just for their accomplishments, but for their candor (if they don't Rampart it).

It's not just a stop for Presidents and celebrities, it's anyone with an interesting and unique story who wants to make a connection, and that's what makes it so awesome.
