Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

About 5 years ago, I had an interview for a magazine. A couple of weeks later, I received a letter from Gerda, a woman who had suffered from cancer and wrote a book about it. She got in touch with me, eager to learn from me how to promote the book. We became friends. We met each other several times a year, making plans and discussing opportunities. One day, Gerda told me she was looking for an apron with multiple pockets. She was walking with crutches because of her illness and needed something to help her carry more things at once. We didn’t find anything suitable, so we decided to make a few sketches and design her apron. Through an entrepreneurial friend, we got in touch with a company called Alsico. They loved the idea and helpfully made a few prototypes. The apron featured in newspapers and on TV, with great response. Today we finally and officially kick off: the Canguru Apron will be available in the shops very soon. I am so proud of Gerda! She is a living example of optimism, perseverance, creativity, energy and above all… immense friendship and loyalty. Congratulations, Gerda!
