85.3% of life is black and white. You know where the lines are. The constraints around your decision are known and you can see the implications in front of you.
14.7% of the time it's gray. Like the gray skies in the winter or a gray fog that rolls in, you can't see far enough ahead of you.
The implications are not clear. It's fuzzy.
These are the moments that distinguish leaders.
Success is how you handle the gray.
Leadership is about forging ahead through the gray, making the case, and bringing your followers with you.
Leadership is knowing when to pivot and choose an alternate path when moving through the gray.
Leadership is knowing how to inspire your followers and engage them while in the gray.
There seems to be more gray around lately.
It really is about the gray.
How have you handled your gray moments?

12 年Many times things are grey because we don't know enough about the situation. That is the opportunity to learn. By learning more, and using your moral compass as someone mentioned earlier, I believe that there can be more black or white added to the picture to make is less grey.

12 年Some people are color blind and see only variations of gray. Those I know personally have done well. They can't compare the gray with true black and white. I believe the key to successfully overcoming the insecurity that hinders you when life appears to be gray is a simply changing your mindset. Focus on your goals and objectives and make decisions based on the facts and information you have available, at any given time, and be decisive. Even when life appears to be black and white I don't always make the right decision. Being mentally color blind and maintaining a positive and confident attitude may make all the difference in your life, even when you are told ita??s gray.
