Blizzard Entertainment is celebrating 20 years of World of Warcraft with an in-game event packed with rewards and nostalgic fun. From October 27, 2024, to January 6, 2025, players can join the festivities and earn exclusive items. This event offers something for everyone, including revamped dungeons, world bosses, and unique cosmetic rewards. Here’s a breakdown of the event and how to maximize your loot.
Collect Bronze Celebration Tokens
Throughout the event, players will gather Bronze Celebration Tokens, which can be exchanged for a variety of rewards. To get started, visit Yolana in the Caverns of Time. She will guide you through three introductory quests. These tasks will earn you 13 tokens and offer a taste of the event’s main attractions.
Daily Quests for Consistent Rewards
Each day, you can complete the Celebrate Good Fun daily quest, which grants three tokens. This quest can be fulfilled by engaging in many of the event’s activities. These daily quests provide a steady way to collect tokens throughout the event.
Fashion Frenzy and Mount Mania
At the Tanaris Celebration Hub, players can participate in two major events:
Weekly Quests for Bigger Rewards
To increase your token collection, complete weekly event quests like War Within or Arena Skirmishes. These will reward one to two tokens per completion. Also, the Blackrock Depths Raid returns, offering a revamped eight-boss challenge. Defeating its final boss grants three tokens per week.
Classic Timewalking Dungeons
Timewalking dungeons are another significant part of the event. Deadmines, Stratholme, and other classics make a comeback. Completing these dungeons through the classic dungeon finder awards two tokens per day.
World Bosses for Epic Loot
Several old-school world bosses return, including Doomwalker and Sha of Anger. Defeating these bosses offers a chance to earn mounts and other rewards. The World Boss Weekly Quest provides three tokens, adding even more value.
PvP in Korrak’s Revenge
PvP fans can revisit Korrak’s Revenge in Alterac Valley. Completing this event rewards a faction-specific mount and three tokens per week. Whether you’re Horde or Alliance, the event offers a thrilling return to classic battleground action.
Iconic Rewards: Tier 2 Armor Sets
The biggest draw for many will be the revamped Tier 2 armor sets. These updated sets cost 60 tokens for the first, with discounts for additional sets. Completing the entire collection requires 320 tokens in total, but offers a substantial payoff with achievements and an upgraded appearance.
Additional Rewards and Collectibles
Beyond the armor sets, players can use their tokens for various cosmetics. Transmog items, pets like the Molten Corgi, and mounts such as the Core Hound are all available. If you missed earlier anniversaries, now’s your chance to grab these exclusive items.
Warcraft 30th Anniversary Backpieces
Alongside the 20th-anniversary celebration, players can also obtain special backpieces celebrating Warcraft’s 30th anniversary. These represent factions from Warcraft III and will be available through the Trading Post, with no tokens required.
Conclusion
With a range of activities, from nostalgic dungeons to revamped armor sets, World of Warcraft’s 20th-anniversary event offers something for every player. The event gives plenty of opportunities to collect rewards, so dive in and make the most of WoW’s two-decade milestone.
